I grew up around a little yinglish. I’ve always wanted to learn yiddish because I feel like it’s a connection to my great grandparents…but in the meantime, I’m perfectly happy with the basic phrases thrown around in conversation at family gatherings, all of which, no matter the meaning, I find absolutely beautiful. My favorite is zaftig, which means “pleasantly plump.” Unless the definitions are lost on a fourth generation american, which is understandable anyway.
Word art is nice, at least.
